Aster Multiseat.

Post by sinyorridak » Mon Apr 29, 2024 5:05 pm

"Greetings.

When we create two users with Aster multiseat, are the two users completely independent?

In other words, assuming there are two Windows users, is each user given a different disk, similar to Deepfreeze?

Thank you."

The disks and partitions are available to all users as it is only 1 system.
As for the user accounts folder they are isolated from each other, each user will have their user profile folder
and any files and folders in the profile folder are not accessible to other users.

Please note: an administrator account can access to all user folders

Aster multiseat does not create isolated disk environments. Both users can technically access the same system files and storage, depending on the permissions set within Windows. Deep Freeze’s approach to isolating changes (by freezing a specific state of the system for each user session) is different, as Aster doesn't inherently include a disk protection or isolation feature.

while Aster Multiseat provides independent user sessions and profiles, it does not allocate separate disks for each user like Deep Freeze does. Each user will share the same physical disk but operate under their own user account, maintaining separate environments.

Two Aster Multiseat users will be completely independent, like separate Windows instances. This allows each user to access their own applications and data without being affected by the other user. If you are looking for some after-work entertainment, try some io games to relax!
