Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries

I have two PCs with Aster installed. Two workstations on each. For some reason I can't multiplay Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries by Lan or by Online when Aster is enabled. However if I restart the PCs with Aster disabled, the game connects fine, but now I only have two players not four.

Any help or ideas on how to fix this problem?
