[GUIDE] Path of Exile with aster
[GUIDE] Path of Exile with aster
Out of the box is not possible to open two instances of this game, you will be facing a mutex error. Mutex is a technic that locks one executable to a handle, making it not possible to open more than one instance. Fortunately, you can kill this handle and make it possible to play path of exile with your girlfriend.
You will be needing:
2 installations of path of exile, one from steam and another one from the website.
Process Explorer https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysin ... s-explorer
Steps:
1 - Open one of the path of exile.
2 - Open process explorer, select the current path of exile process.
3 - CTRL + L in process explorer, with path of exile process selected.
4 - Kill handle Mutant \BaseNamedObjects\PoERunMutexA
5 - Now you can open the other path of exile install
*be aware, this is not a intendeed game behaviour. Maybe can lead to account ban?

Re: [GUIDE] Path of Exile with aster
Hey, thanks for sharing this! It’s a really clever workaround for getting two instances of Path of Exile running. Just a heads-up, though—since it's not intended behavior, there's a risk of getting banned, so proceed with caution. But overall, it's a great solution for playing with your girlfriend on the same machine!
