Forza horizon 5
Forza horizon 5
Have anybody been able to play two instances of Forza Horizon 5 with Aster? I was able to launch two Steams after I updated the Aster, and I can launch two Forza Horizon 5 games now that I have installed them to two locations. However, I cannot get both instances to online (Horizon Life) at the same time. Both game clients can get individually to online, but not when the other client is already online. I tried to tackle this issue by setting static IP addresses to my wifi network adapter and ethernet network adapter, and then assigning these IPs to the workplaces. Both workspaces have access to internet, and there are strong implications that it happens through the specified network adapter, since if I turn off the wifi, the other workspace has no longer acces to the internet. Nonetheless, I cannot go online on both clients simultaneously, I get an error message that reads "unable to join session" Is it possible that Forza still binds to the same adapter? I also wonder why changing the clientport on Steam launch options didn't help. Now that they have different IP:s and MAC:s I can't figure out why it is not working. Maybe I should have Steam installed on separate locations as well as the game?
Any help or thought would be welcome. Thanks in advance!
Edit: We have two legitimately bought Steam copies of the game.

Re: Forza horizon 5
Forza might still be binding to the same network adapter, which could prevent both instances from connecting online simultaneously. You might want to check if there's an option in the game or in your network settings to specify which adapter to use.
Re: Forza horizon 5
The game may be checking the outgoing internet IP instead of the assigned local IP address
If that is the case then its most likely the game will detect the same IP from 2 different instances of the game and prevent one of them to connect.
You could try running one of the game instance using Sandboxie and see if that help with the network connection.

Re: Forza horizon 5
I troubleshooted it extensively, and found out that both forza instances try to bind to same network adapter. They do not respect Asters rules. If I only knew a way to force a Steam game to use specific adapter / ip...
Re: Forza horizon 5
It is not recommended to play both versions at the same time because if it is light you may be blocked from connecting and if it is heavy they may block your account.
