Anyone using Moonlight with Aster?
Moonlight is by far the best remote desktop software in terms of latency and image quality/frame rate.
However I often run into issues where the wrong aster instance will be streamed when launching games. Also, only one user can use Moonlight, I use Parsec for the other user which does not perform as well as Moonlight.
Anyone else using Moonlight? Have you switched to sunshine? I have not done the switch yet and am still on Nvidia gamestream, since I'm afraid it will ruin compatibility with Aster. However compatibility already isn't great, so I'm wondering if I would have better luck with sunshine.
Thanks everyone!

While Moonlight is a useful tool for the dark, it is not without flaws. Before making a complete transfer, it's wise to put the software through its paces on a less-important system to make sure it lives up to your expectations and plays nicely with your existing infrastructure.

Ok, but what are those flaws? I haven't encountered a single issue. Been using it for months..pursuecrime wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 7:50 amWhile Moonlight is a useful tool for the dark, it is not without flaws. Re: Anyone using Moonlight with Aster?
Moonlight has its uses in the dark, but it has its drawbacks as well. You should test the program on a secondary system to ensure it meets your requirements and works well with your current setup before committing to a full transfer.

Yes, the classic XP-Pen monitor mapping issue — totally understandable subway surfers frustration, especially when you're running a multi-user setup or just trying to use the tablet on a secondary display.
Re: Anyone using Moonlight with Aster?
If you frequently encounter issues with Moonlight and need support for multiple users, trying Sunshine might be a good alternative. It can give you the benefits of low latency and high-quality streaming while addressing some of the limitations you've been facing.
