root access to computer and security
I noticed there are root folders "C:\ProgramData\ASTER CONTROL\Drive"
What is the purpose of these folders?
Since ibik Aster is based in Moscow and a registered product in the Russian Federation, what assurances are there that it cannot be manipulated by the FSB for espionage or hacking users' personal data?

Re: root access to computer and security
We can assure you that the FSB uses more subtle methods in its work than bookmarks in commercial programs - you are unlikely to notice them. If you still suspect ASTER or if your personal data is of interest to the FSB, for example, you are a CIA agent, you should remove ASTER from your computer.
Re: root access to computer and security
Obviously sensitive information won’t be kept on a device that has aster installed. This is a question directed for the ibik programmers of what the purpose of the root access is.
Re: root access to computer and security
If you are talking about access to the ProgramData folder, then it is just designed to store data from various programs. I think you noticed other programs folders there and don't need elevated privileges to access ProgramData. But to enable ASTER, administrator rights are required, since without this it is impossible to start the service for the program to work.
